College Football: 2018 UTC Mocs Football Schedule Revealed

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga announced their football schedule for the 2018 season on Tuesday. The UTC Mocs have five home games slated for the schedule and a trip to face SEC's South Carolina Gamecocks in November. The season will kick off with a game against regional and inner-state rival Tennessee Tech on Thursday, August 30th. "We have been working hard in the offseason as we prepare for a tough 2018 schedule," said Mocs head coach Tom Arth. "Spring practice is just around the corner and August 30th will be here before we know it. We are all excited about the future of Chattanooga football, and we hope to see everyone at Finley Stadium in the fall." After the season-opening event against Tennessee Tech, UTC hits the road to place The Citadel on September 8th and UT-Martin on September 15th. WWE: Japanese Born Wrestlers Break Records in Royal Rumble Matches

Both Asuka and Shinsuke Nakamura both won their respective Royal Rumble matches Sunday Night. Asuka hails from Osaka Prefecture, Japan while Nakamura hails from  Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. The Japan-born superstars made history during the Royal Rumble PPV on Sunday Night with Nakamura becoming the first Japanese born superstar to win the Royal Rumble match and Asuka becoming the first ever winner of the Women's Royal Rumble match. Shinsuke Nakamura made his WWE Smackdown Live debut on April 4th, 2017, the Smackdown Live after WrestleMania XXXIII. He has only battled for the WWE Championship once in his short term in the company. He lost to Jinder Mahal at Summerslam in July and since he hasn't been able to compete for the title since. WWE: 2018 Royal Rumble Preview & Predictions

On Sunday in the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, the 2018 Royal Rumble takes place. The annual PPV will feature the 31st Royal Rumble match, the first Women's Royal Rumble match, and a total of four title matches. The PPV is one of the longest running PPV events dating all the way back to 1988. The event has annually been held at the end of the month of January, recently the same Sunday as the NFL Pro Bowl. WWE: Monday Night RAW Arena Spotlight - UTC McKenzie Arena

Despite not being one of the largest Arena's in the South, the UTC McKenzie Arena has hosted three Monday Night RAW events. The arena was opened on October 8th, 1982 and hosted its first WWE event on May 12th, 1998. The event featured superstars including "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, The Undertaker, The Rock, Triple-H, and the late Owen Hart among others. The event ended with both Vince McMahon and, at the time WWE official, Gerald Brisco receiving a "stunner" from Austin. Monday Night RAW returned to Chattanooga on February 22nd, 1999. The event held more toward the end of the "Monday Night Wars" had a "hot" main event between Kane and The Undertaker. The Undertaker would defeat Kane in just the second "Inferno Match" ever. WWE: Goldberg to be Inducted into WWE Hall of Fame

Professional Wrestling Icon Bill Goldberg is the first announced inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018. Announced during Monday's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Goldberg will join a long illustrious list of icons in sports-entertainment. The 2018 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on Friday, April 6th during Wrestlemania XXXIV week in New Orleans Louisiana. “Goldberg’s unique athleticism, persona and intensity captured the imagination of sports entertainment fans around the world throughout his illustrious career,” said Paul Levesque, WWE Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events & Creative in the release from WWE. “We are honored to have Goldberg take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame.” His career began on June 23rd, 1997 against Buddy Lee Parker in a Dark Match before Monday Night Nitro. MLB: Minnesota Twins Add Addison Reed to Bullpen for 2018 & 2019 Seasons

Relief pitcher Addison Reed will join the Minnesota Twins beginning in 2018, the organization revealed on Monday. The Twins signed the 29-year old to a two year contract worth $16.75 million. Reed moves from the Boston Red Sox where he 1-1. He also pitched for the New York Mets where he had a 1-2 record. Combined, Reed pitched 76 innings in 2017 along with securing a 2.84 ERA with a total of 76 strikeouts and 15 walks. In 21 attempts, he had 19 saves. In his career as a pitcher, Reed has an 18-21 record with four teams since 2011 (Chicago White Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, New York Mets, and most recently the Boston Red Sox). In those seven seasons, Reed has pitched a total of 402.2 innings and has saved 81% of the games he's had a chance to. With the addition of Reed, the Twins pitching lineup is looking powerful for the 2018 season. The Launch of The Walk-Off Sports Report

On January 12th, 2018, The Walk-Off Report was launched. The Walk-Off Report will be your new home for Minor/Major League Baseball, College Football, and other sports as the year continues. Currently, we will cover certain teams in the above-listed sports that are listed below. Professional Baseball  One of the main reasons we began this website is to supply reports and results from Baseball in four levels of the farm system. It all begins with the Rookie Class up in Elizabethton Tennessee and builds up to the Majors in both Georgia with the Atlanta Braves and in Minnesota with Minnesota Twins. As seen below we'll cover two levels of the Minnesota Twins farm system, both in the state of Tennessee.
