MiLB: Two-Run Home Run by Andy Wilkins Propels Chattanooga to Game Five and Series Victory

The series against Montgomery for the Chattanooga Lookouts had started out with two positives but when Montgomery took the reigns, the horse was full throttle. The Biscuits won Sunday's series starting game 6-2 but on Monday Night the Looks kicked off their small winning streak with two straight victories against Montgomery.  Thursday nights game looked to be going the right direction for Chattanooga but two mistakes in the eighth gave Montgomery the lead and ultimately the victory snapping the two-game winning streak.

In the series-deciding game on Thursday night, an even affair took place in Montgomery.

Forrest Snow took the mound in his debut as a Montgomery Biscuit. In five innings Snow had five hits on him with one walk and four strikeouts.

Jesus Sanchez scored on a single by Miles Mastrobuoni in the second inning to put Montgomery on top 1-0 and Lucius Fox scored on a single by Brett Sullivan in the sixth inning to put Montgomery up 2-0.

Chattanooga made a comeback in the ninth after Luis Arraez singled. When Arraez singled, Brent Rooker and Lucius Fox scored tying the game forcing Montgomery to attempt a comeback for the second night in a row.

Andy Wilkins hit a two-run home run in the 10th giving Chattanooga the lead and the victory after Mike Broadway closed the book on Montgomery.

Chattanooga earns their 60th victory of 2018 and first series victory since the beginning of August against Mississippi. Montgomery earns their 59th loss of the season and first series loss since July against Mississippi.

What's Next for the Chattanooga Lookouts?

The Chattanooga Lookouts return home for a five-game series against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. The Jumbo Shrimp will be the last South Division competitor of the season for the Lookouts and it's got a storyline to it.

Both organizations are currently in last place in each of their divisions. Chattanooga is looking to avoid their first last-place finish since 2013 while Jacksonville is looking to avoid their first since 2016.

In 2018, Chattanooga is 4-5 against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. The Lookouts won the series against Jacksonville in April (4-1) while Jacksonville swept the Lookouts in their last series last month (0-4).

Supercross: Chad Reed Tallies First Podium Finish Since 2017

It wasn't a victory for Chad Reed in Detroit but it was a podium finish for the driver from Kurri Kurri, Australia. His first podium since Glendale in 2017 and the 132nd career podium finish. The finish is just another page in the story for Reed and 2019 has been one hell of a story so far. Reed has already earned more top 10 finishes this season then he did last season. The first top-five finish Reed earned this year already was more than he netted in 2018. Before San Diego, Reed had not finished inside the top five since Toronto in 2017. Will Christien denoted to Reed during the post-race interview that he had not been a fan of the new "Triple Crown" format but will take a third place finish. "Honestly just starts and finally riding to your ability," Reed told NBCSN. "It's been a long time. For the guy who has stood up here more than anyone in the sport, you know I take it on personally as just feeling less about myself for not getting up here and

In 2018, the Mobile BayBears were hiding in the bushes during the 2018 Walk-Off Sports Report Southern League Playoff Watch but the organization was eliminated from playoff contention rather early in the campaign. The organization finished 66-70, fourth in the South Division. The BayBears were second in runs scored per game and runs batted in during the 2018 season but the rest of the batting statistics were pretty low.
