The Jackson Generals are up one game on the Montgomery Biscuits in the Southern League North Division after defeating the Biscuits 4-3 on Wednesday. After Montgomery held a strong lead through nine innings when the home-field advantage crept in.
In the bottom of the ninth, the Generals were down two runs when the Biscuits loaded the bases. Marty Herum put the tying run across on a single. With the bases still loaded, Josh Prince held patience and took four balls pushing the player on third base across giving Jackson the victory.
Nick Solak kicked off the scoring in the first by singling a ground ball scoring Dalton Kelly putting the Biscuits up 1-0. Jackson rebounded in the bottom of the second with Jason Morozowski hitting a sacrifice fly to right field, scoring Josh Prince in the process putting the game at 1-1.
Montgomery looked to put this game out of reach for the Jackson Generals with one run in the fourth and another in the fifth. Domingo Leyba with the Generals knocked a home run putting the Generals within reaching distance.
The Walk-Off Walk in the Ninth inning puts Jackson up one game to nothing. The second game for the series will be on Thursday Night in Jackson, Tennessee 7 p.m ET.
