MiLB: Pensacola Blue Wahoos Tie Series at One Before Return to Pensacola

The series is tied as both the Biloxi Shuckers and Pensacola Blue Wahoos head to Pensacola on Friday Night. The Blue Wahoos tallied their first victory of the post-season Thursday night in a 4-1 game at MGM Park.

The afternoon already started off rough for the Biloxi Shuckers as Jose Siri doubled during the first pitch and TJ Friedl followed it up with a bunt that put Siri and Friedl on the corners. Siri scored on a groundout by Mitch Nay. Shed Long hit a sacrifice fly to put Pensacola on top 2-0.

The Wahoos added some insurance runs in the seventh. An inning filled with multiple wild pitches by the Shuckers and a double to right field pushing the lead to 4-0.

Lucas Erceg doubled in the bottom of the seventh scoring Tony Stokes Jr. putting up Biloxi's sole run of the came making it 4-1. Carlos Navas sealed the deal for Pensacola by shutting out the final four outs.

The series heads to Pensacola on Friday night in a best-of-five series tied at one guaranteeing a return to MGM Park on Saturday. Trey Supak takes the mound for the Biloxi Shuckers while Tony Santillan takes the mound for Pensacola. (Koelle,2018)
